Section C-7

Winter Council of Chiefs

at the Kalahari Resort

What is the Winter Council of Chiefs?

The purpose of the Winter Council of Chiefs (COC) is to facilitate inter-lodge communication, share ideas, update lodges on new national OA programs, and plan for this year's section conclave. One of the most beneficial elements the council of chiefs offers is a fun, interactive environment where Arrowmen build friendships and hang out with like-minded individuals, and exchange resources.

Section C-7 will gather to explore that which makes our lodges special, embrace ambitious service-oriented goals, and discover the transformative force for good in the world that we share as Arrowmen. This year, our COC will also be a shared event with Section C-1B.

Event Information

The COC will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at the Kalahari Resort. The COC will start promptly at 10:00 a.m.; therefore, please plan to arrive between 9:30 a.m. and 9:45 a.m. The event will end no later than 5:00 p.m.

All Arrowmen - youth and adult - MUST bring a COPY of their annual health form (parts A and B only), including a copy of their family's insurance card information, to the COC, regardless of how long they will be staying.

Event Cost - Two Options

The fee for the COC event (daytime program) is $28.00 which includes conference materials and lunch. If you plan to stay for the day only, choose this option at registration.

Arrowmen also have the opportunity to stay overnight at the resort at discounted, shared room rates. Kanwa tho Lodge will cover a portion of the room cost, making the overnight fee $75.00. This fee includes the above $28 COC fee, a portion of the hotel room fee, and a waterpark pass. Due to the limited time for reserving rooms at the discounted rate, registrations must be received by December 31, 2021.

Arrowmen staying overnight should plan to bring spending money for dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday before the drive home.

Carpooling

Carpooling will be an option since the drive to the Wisconsin Dells is about two hours. If you need a ride or if you are able to supply a ride, you will be contacted to make carpooling arrangements.
